Welcome to Spring Creek Model Railroad Club!

Our Layout is more exciting than ever! We are making continuous improvements and look forward to sharing our progress with the public.

Our club was founded in 1986 and has developed into one of the Greater Dallas Areas most unique HO sectional train layouts.  Sectional modeling is defined as a model train layout made up of a number of individual sections (tables) that are assembled together to form a single layout.

The SCMRC layout features both HO standard gauge and HOn3 narrow gauge trackage. We model many eras from the 1880’s to the present and operate steam and diesel, freight and passenger trains.

The layout runs on a Digitrax Digital Command Control (DCC) system.  It’s the latest in model railroad operating technology.  

SCMRC has six weekend shows a year at venues in the Greater Dallas Area.

SCMRC meets monthly at different members homes to take care of club business and to share our interest in model railroading. We occasionally take field trips to ride tourist trains, attend train shows, visit museums or visit railroad equipment manufacturers.
